Duties
As a Care Professional, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients to promote their well-being.
- Implementing care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences.
- Supporting clients with mobility and transportation as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Engaging clients in social activities that promote cognitive stimulation and emotional health.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Background in personal care home settings or group home environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices and techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
- A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to assist others in their daily lives.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold client dignity at all times.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to accommodate client schedules.
