POSITION TITLE: Development Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Development Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: The Development Coordinator will provide administrative support and work to help move projects through the planning and development process by working collaboratively with various staff in development, construction, and other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Assist in completion of funding applications including city and state Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), private lending proposals and applications for various capital funding sources, including but not limited to - 4% tax exempt bonds, 9% Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTCs), construction lenders, HUD, and other public and private lenders, investors and funders
· Participate in research and development for current and future projects
· Collect and review local planning documents
· Assist in coordination of and preparation of documentation related to closings
· Organize, update, and maintain application, development files, and Home Leasing organization documents.
· Participate in presentations to neighborhood groups, municipalities and local planning groups
· Participation in preparation of cost certification and reporting as required
· Participation in underwriting project feasibility
· Participate in closing calls for project financing
· Participate in design meetings and design development for projects
· Attend construciton meetings and assist in tracking projects through construction and permanent conversion
· Develop and maintain a strong understanding of funding programs and requirements including QAPs and other published guidance
· Implement and maintain information in MRI
· Provide content to support marketing materials for Home Leasing development related work
· Some travel may be required

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ongoing participation in training courses as needed, such as IPED, NYSAFAH, etc.
· Work well in a team environment
· Effectively coordinate and communicate with other individuals and parties
· Travel when required
· Microsoft Office
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing is required.
· This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
TYPICAL WORK CONDITIONS:
· Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
· This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
