We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Product to lead our enterprise applications team. This role is pivotal in shaping our product strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering an agile environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, experience leading UX/UI teams, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Vision:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company's goals and market needs.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and threats, ensuring our products remain competitive and innovative.
- Understand the businesses future growth plans and ensure the product is built with these needs in mind.
- Agile Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor the product management and UX/UI teams, fostering a collaborative and agile work environment.
- Implement agile practices to enhance team productivity and product quality.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and teams to provide frequent updates to stakeholders.
- Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather business requirements and translate them into actionable product plans.
- Understand Stakeholders KPI’s and ensure product development is led with these goals in mind and measure / report on noticeable changes in KPI’s due to product development.
- Product Development and Delivery:
- Oversee the creation of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) based on stakeholder input.
- Develop and manage sprint plans, ensuring tasks are clearly defined and prioritized.
- Monitor the progress of sprints, measure their success, and implement improvements as necessary.
- UX/UI Oversight
- Manage the UX/UI team to ensure the delivery of user-centered designs that meet business objectives.
- Ensure that design elements align with the overall product strategy and enhance user satisfaction.
- Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess product success and team performance.
- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in product management or related roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience managing UX/UI teams and implementing agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in leading product development from concept to launch.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in agile project management tools and design software.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and user feedback.
