SUMMARY : The Medical Record Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical records department, keeping patient information organized and secure.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES :
- High school diploma or GED.
- Post high school education is advantageous.
- Proven experience working in a medical office a plus.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- The ability to type and file accurately.
- Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Good computer and electronic record skills
- Good organizational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making
- Outstanding time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Reliable Broadband internet for computer connection (wifi)
- Certification as CNA / MA or any equivalent for medical field is a plus.
