Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Staff to join our team at Home Reach Inc. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their well-being and helping them navigate daily challenges. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity. This unique position plays a vital role in strengthening our staff support systems and helping maintain a positive, caring environment.
What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities
- Visit residential homes in Idaho Falls, Ammon and Rexburg and provide on-the-ground support to direct care staff.
- Assist with team morale, staff retention, and problem-solving in real-time.
- Be a listening ear and an extra set of hands, helping when and where you're needed in the community and in the homes.
- Cover shifts in the homes when necessary to ensure quality care and staffing.
- Support ongoing communication between staff and leadership.
- Promote a culture of compassion, teamwork, and consistency.
- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.
- Support residents in achieving personal goals and participating in community activities.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and progress made by individuals. DSL / ISP / Care tracking
- Collaborate with other team members to create a positive living environment.
- Educate residents about their rights and encourage self-advocacy.
Requirements
- Clean Background Check
- Valid Idaho Drivers License and auto insurance
- Pass a preemployment drug test
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar support role is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for others.
- Basic knowledge of patient care practices and health monitoring techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
