Responsible for submitting, tracking, and managing prior authorization. Assists with intake process, verifying insurance, verify orders, scheduling staff and entering related information into computer.
- Applies for and maintains Prior Auth for Medicaid PA.
- Assists and maintains Prior Auth for Insurance Clients requiring PA.
- Updates field staff, Director of QI, DON of changes to PA or need for changes in authorization.
- Maintains Recert Lists for Medicaid PA.
- Assists with intake; Cross-trains to other positions within medical records department.
- Seeks current, up to date information and / or education necessary for compliance with multiple medical records requirements.
- Responsible for submitting tracking & managing insurance prior authorization
