Accounting Clerk

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting functions. This role requires a strong understanding of financial concepts and the ability to work effectively with accounting software.

Duties

• Perform double entry bookkeeping to ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Utilize software such as Sage, Paychex, and Workday for efficient processing of financial data.
• Assist with corporate accounting tasks, including preparing financial statements and reports.
• Apply knowledge of governmental accounting principles when necessary.
• Maintain organized documentation for all financial transactions.
• Support the finance team in various projects and audits as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping and understanding of debits and credits.
• Experience with corporate accounting practices is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Quickbooks, Bamboo, or Workday is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and apply financial concepts.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in account reconciliation is advantageous.
