OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm | Overtime as Needed
Location: 2400 West Bridge Street, Owatonna, MN 55060
Compensation: $20.00 - $22.00 Hourly (nonexempt)

What will you do:
You will be responsible for the efficient facilitation of the credit union's operations as it relates to compliance, security, and daily operations. Providing back-office support for non-loan products by serving as a team member for Application Reconciliation and Deposit Verification. Day to day activity is focused on monitoring defined procedures, verification of output and reconcilement of applications and accounts. You will also be responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Process, monitor and administer electronic products including but not limited to: Bill Pay, Mobile Deposit, and Wire Transfers.
- Conduct and process comprehensive investigations for debit card and other bank fraud to include interviews, discovery, analysis, case documentation and management.
- Performing Bill Pay related requests to ensure members have proper access and account information is accurate within the system.
- Assisting staff with member issues as they relate to accounts, transactions, statements, and credit and debit cards. Also assists members directly with questions, issues, or problems.
- Preform duties related to dormant accounts and unclaimed property.
- Notifying manager about monetary risk-related problems where there could be the expectation of a loss to a member or to the credit union.
- Research, develop, and implement new products and services.
- Print and mail daily, weekly, and monthly notices to members.
- Performing month-end and quarterly tasks.
- Perform weekly deposit share account audits.
- Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies throughout the department.
- Ensure proper mapping of the imaging system.
- Provide administrative support for E-banking platforms, including but not limited to Online and Mobile banking and ancillary applications. Perform other duties as assigned.
What you have:
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
- 2 years of operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations.
- Ability to work in fast paced environment managing a wide variety of tasks.
- Professional and effective communication skills, including listening, writing and presentation.
- Strong computer skills with proficiencies in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel etc.)
- Ability to work independently utilizing analytical and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and use of effective time management.
- Ability to comprehend written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Detail orientated and ability to prioritize activities.
