Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all linens, towels, and garments are laundered, cleaned, and presented to the highest standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the cleanliness and quality of our hotel’s laundry services, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Duties
- Launder and clean various types of fabrics including linens, towels, and uniforms using appropriate washing techniques.
- Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for distribution to hotel rooms or departments.
- Perform dry cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring garments are treated with care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to meet health and safety standards.
- Monitor inventory levels of laundry supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor equipment issues or report major concerns to maintenance staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a laundry or housekeeping role within a hotel or similar environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of laundering techniques and fabric care is a plus.
- Ability to operate laundry machinery safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good physical stamina; must be able to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely completion of tasks.
