Overview
The House Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility while providing exceptional care and support to residents. This position requires a compassionate individual with a strong background in person centered care, particularly for individuals with autism, and other long-term care needs. The House Supervisor will oversee daily activities, manage staff, and ensure that all residents receive the highest quality of care in a safe and supportive environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the house, ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership and support to staff members, fostering a positive work environment.
- Assist in developing individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Monitor resident health and well-being, providing hands-on patient care as necessary.
- Facilitate communication between residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Train and mentor staff on best practices in assisted living, home care, and dementia care.
- Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, including proper lifting techniques when assisting residents.
- Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss resident progress and any necessary adjustments to care plans.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with autism or similar developmental challenges is highly desirable.
- Background in social work, direct care or nursing is preferred but not mandatory; relevant certifications will be considered an asset.
- Proven experience in long-term care settings such as assisted living, group homes, or home care environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care, including lifting and transferring residents safely.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to improve the lives of those under your care.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed to meet the needs of the facility and its residents.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
