We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Nurse to provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. As a Home Care Nurse, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for your clients through personalized care, meal preparation, and monitoring vital signs.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in their home or group home settings.
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs.
- Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and their families to ensure effective communication and support.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance caregiving skills.
Qualifications
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly those with autism.
- Previous experience in home health or community care settings is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures and ability to monitor vital signs.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization within the client’s living space.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or equivalent is an asset but not required.
