Proactive Home Care Aide for Client with Memory Loss (Weekends Only)
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and proactive Home Care Aide to support a client experiencing memory loss on weekends only, starting immediately. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with cognitive impairments and be able to anticipate needs, provide personalized care, and offer emotional support. Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and engage the client in meaningful conversations and activities to stimulate memory and cognitive function.
- Help with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring the client receives proper nutrition.
- Assist with medication reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed treatments.
- Monitor and record changes in the client’s physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment, including light housekeeping and ensuring the client's living space is organized.
- Offer support in memory exercises, routines, and structured activities designed to help the client manage their memory loss and maintain independence.
- Provide transportation for appointments or errands, if necessary.
