As the Staff Accountant at HomeFirst Home Healthcare, you will report to our Controller and play a significant role in the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy in accounting and financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will assist in preparing all accounts payable, assist in monthly closing and financial statement preparation, the reconciliation of general ledger assets and liabilities, and other related financial activities as assigned by our Controller.
Overview of Responsibilities -
- Assist the Controller in preparing monthly balance sheets and income statements
- Reconcile all general ledger accounts
- Process payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
- Reconcile all bank accounts on a monthly basis and address bank inquiries
- Provide outside auditors with assistance by gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
- Perform duties within reasonable timeframe utilizing time effectively
