We are now hiring a Senior Revenue Accountant to join their growing finance team. This high-impact opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented, driven professional with deep expertise in SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606. You will lead critical functions including monthly close, system automation, audit readiness, and M&A integration, while working cross-functionally with finance, sales, and operations.

Responsibilities
- Revenue Recognition (ASC 606): Oversee revenue recognition for software subscriptions, usage-based billing, and multi-element arrangements to ensure GAAP compliance and timely reporting
- Billing Operations: Collaborate with the customer billing team to ensure accurate invoicing via Zuora, resolve discrepancies, and optimize billing processes
- Close & Reporting: Lead the monthly revenue close process, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and variance analysis to support internal and external reporting
- Policy Development & Maintenance: Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures related to revenue recognition, billing, and financial reporting for consistency and accuracy
- System Integration & Automation: Drive automation initiatives across billing (Zuora), general ledger (Sage), and CRM (Salesforce); implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity
- M&A Support: Assist with due diligence and financial analysis of acquisition targets, and support the post-acquisition integration of accounting and billing systems
- Audit & Compliance: Act as the primary contact for revenue-related audit requests, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of accurate supporting documentation
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, sales, and operations teams to align contract terms with revenue recognition policies and internal controls
Requirements
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on revenue recognition in a SaaS or technology-driven environment
- Deep understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue models, including subscription and usage-based contracts
- Experience with Zuora, Sage, and Salesforce is strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with strong skills in analyzing and reconciling large data sets
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or CPA-track preferred
- Experience in public accounting or M&A due diligence is a plus
