Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Homeless Shelter Manager to oversee daily operations. This role involves managing staff, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and connecting residents with services that help them move forward.

Responsibilities

The Homeless Shelter Manager will supervise shelter operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This includes hiring, training, and overseeing staff and volunteers while ensuring residents receive case management, housing support, and other essential services. The manager must maintain compliance with all safety and health regulations, build relationships with community organizations and agencies, handle crises and conflicts, and ensure the safety of staff and residents. Additionally, they will oversee shelter expenses, reporting, and budgeting.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field is preferred. Candidates should have experience in shelter management, social services, or nonprofit leadership. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, along with an understanding of homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse. The role requires flexibility, including availability for evenings or emergencies as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
