Homemakers is looking to add an accountant to our team! This is a 100% on-site position.
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay: $20 per hour
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for working with all aspects of the accounting department. Responsible for sales tax tracking within multiple states.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to be able to comprehend sales tax reporting
- Analyze customer accounts for balances due
- Process refunds
- Working knowledge of general accounting procedures
- Ability to complete assigned projects with minimal supervision
- Ability to work within a group
- Ability to analyze data and be able to come up with a solution
- Good customer service when dealing with customers
- Highly motivated
- Provides feedback to management regarding efficiencies, safety, productivity, etc.
- Follow all operational and safety procedures
- The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned
Education/Work Experience:
- 2 year accounting degree or 4 years experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting processes
- Knowledge of sales tax processing
- Attention to detail
- Organized
- Can work independently
- Ability to multi-task
- Working knowledge with accounting software and Excel
- Working knowledge of credit card processing a plus
Physical Expectations:
- Extended sitting at desk and use of computer
- Occasional standing and bending
- Typing skills of 35 net wpm
- Data Entry skills of 60 kpm
Environmental Conditions:
- Will work indoors
- Conditions may include hot/cold temperatures, dusty surroundings and noisy work environment
