Position Summary:

Join a dynamic creative team to assist with developing visual communications including but not limited to in-store signage, special interest publication ads, logo development, photography needs and other such projects. Additionally, the Graphic Designer may assist with designing digital assets and will work to ensure the continuity of Homemakers brand standards on ALL materials, including homemakers.com.

Essential Position Accountabilities:

• Responsible for creating cohesive design solutions for various departmental requests
• Works collaboratively with Lead Designer to ensure all graphic design projects are meeting assigned deadlines
• Incorporates constructive feedback and makes design revisions accordingly
• Prepares notes and instructions for vendors who assemble and prepare final layouts for production
• Provides art direction and assistance on any collateral pieces produced by outside vendors
• Ensures thorough review of final proofs to ensure proofreading has been done
• Provides suggestions and samples for new ideas and brainstorming sessions
• Assists with photo shoots for advertisements, web landing pages or other photographic needs
• Acts as back-up photographer in the photo studio
• Assists with photo editing for website content
• Adheres to brand standards per the established HM Style Guide
• File maintenance and archiving of visual assets
• Assists with working Special Events conducted by the department
• The above responsibilities and additional duties may vary as assigned

Education/Work Experience Required:

• Bachelors Degree Graphic Design
• Proficiency with MAC computer, Photoshop, Illustrator & In Design
• 2 years Advertising layout design
• Photography experience
