We are seeking a Permit Administrator to join our growing Casa Fresca Homes permitting team in our Corporate office located in Riverview, FL. The Permit Administrator will be responsible for processing all necessary applications, plans and documents to obtain building permits.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate Architectural Coordinate permitting starts with applicable architects upon permit release.
- Enter and update permitting information in Newstar.
- Create and maintain permitting file.
- Order plot plans from assigned survey vendor and distribute electronic copy to ACM,ASM & ARC coordinator upon receipt.
- Order energy calcs from assigned HVAC vendor.
- Track structural RFPs post-contract and provide information to architect for plan changes.
- Compile permitting packages for County submittal and for CMs.
- Provide information to architect when permit denied in the county – track plan revisions and submittals back to the county.
- Track and request NOCs as needed.
- Track permit submittals in County.
- Ensure that agreed upon permitting timelines are adhered to thru appropriate contact with architects, engineers, survey vendors, HVAC vendors, Suncoast Permits, HBWB sales and construction.
- Research and provide answers to permitting questions from internal customers (sales, construction, accounting, design center).
- Create check requests for permit and utility fees when permits ready for pick-up.
- Provide the necessary documents/information to Suncoast Permits for permit pick-up from the County.
- Notify applicable CM when County approved permit or revision documents are received.
- Attend weekly Starts Meeting – provide updates on status of permits and permit pick/ups.
- Attend weekly Backlog Meeting – provide updates on status of permits and permit pick/ups.
- Perform other duties or functions as requested.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school degree is required; however, a four-year degree is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in permitting, preferably in homebuilding
- Proficient in computer word processing and spreadsheet applications, preferably Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access.
This is an on-site position based in Tampa, FL, and will require relocation if you are not currently located in the area.
