PRN Driver

Status:                         PRN, nonexempt (hourly)

Shift:                            PRN; as needed for days, evenings, and/or weekends

                                      minimum shift: 3 hours

Reports to:                 Transportation Coordinator  

Qualifications:      

• Pennsylvania Driver’s License, excellent driving record
• Pennsylvania CDL Licensure, preferred
• Good judgement and ability work independently
• Excellent customer service with older adult customer
• Honest, dependable, and safety conscious

Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered to be all inclusive):

1. Drive to and from doctor/dental appointments as scheduled daily practicing good driving habits
2. Assistance may be required with wheelchairs and partially ambulatory residents
3. Drive to and from planned activities and special events
4. Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in proper working condition, keeping clean, serviced, and fueled
5. Schedule and call residents as necessary to provide proper timing for optimum service, as deemed necessary by supervisor
6. Be flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change
7. Escort residents to/from Homestead Village vehicle
8. Maintain daily logs for vehicle inspections, use of vehicle and travel logs, and fuel.
