PRN Driver
Status: PRN, nonexempt (hourly)
Shift: PRN; as needed for days, evenings, and/or weekends
minimum shift: 3 hours
Reports to: Transportation Coordinator
Qualifications:
- Pennsylvania Driver’s License, excellent driving record
- Pennsylvania CDL Licensure, preferred
- Good judgement and ability work independently
- Excellent customer service with older adult customer
- Honest, dependable, and safety conscious
Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered to be all inclusive):
- Drive to and from doctor/dental appointments as scheduled daily practicing good driving habits
- Assistance may be required with wheelchairs and partially ambulatory residents
- Drive to and from planned activities and special events
- Maintain assigned vehicle(s) in proper working condition, keeping clean, serviced, and fueled
- Schedule and call residents as necessary to provide proper timing for optimum service, as deemed necessary by supervisor
- Be flexible, receptive, and adaptive to change
- Escort residents to/from Homestead Village vehicle
- Maintain daily logs for vehicle inspections, use of vehicle and travel logs, and fuel.
