Homestead Health Care is hiring for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the area.
Homestead provides care in an Assisted Living Community and is hiring an LPN / RN to work with our seniors. We are looking for a nurse with a proven track record for showing compassion and dedication to their residents and work family. The nurse is a leader and role model to all staff on how to properly care for the residents during all aspects of their lives. You will be responsible to oversee the general care of the residents regarding health, behavioral and medication administration issues. Also required will be the responsibility to help train and mentor care staff and build a strong team.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee the general care of the residents regarding health, behavioral, and medication administration issues.
- Primary contact with physicians, pharmacy, and family regarding these topics.
- Leader and role model to all staff on how to properly care for the individuals during all aspects of their lives.
- Handle emergency situations, teach and train staff in both a structured setting and impromptu moments which present themselves throughout the course of the day.
- Maintain the resident records in a complete and current manner
