We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team. With our consistently demonstrated double-digit sales growth and expanding national posture, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to ensure the materials supply for the Twin Falls location. This role is pivotal in overseeing the activities of the purchasing and inventory control function that serves Production delivered to 19 states.
Responsibilities
- Ensures an “always available” immediate supply environment for Shipping and Production
- Partners with vendor(s) to anticipate, adjust, and manage the available materials supply
- Owns the on-site materials inventory and partner with vendor(s) to ensure mutual requirements for excellent customer service are delineated and maintained
- Maintains the balance between product availability, inventory cost, and product viability (expiration)
- Purchases the full scope of supplies from raw food materials, packaging supplies, and ancillary supplies
- Raises opportunities for contract terms and customer service improvements that develop into partnership win-win situations
- Participates in regular collaborative sessions with vendor(s) and internal customers to maintain stable supply, anticipate supply issue, and work to prevent/manage disruptions
- Manages product transitions that ensure supply is equitably discontinued for all partners in the value chain
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; a B.S or B.A. can be an advantage
- 2 years of related experience - coordinating multiple processes to work in harmony (not necessarily for purchasing)
- Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical ability in complex problem solving where innovation is required
- A strong ethical standard as regards purchasing candor and professionalism
- An unflinching willingness to succeed in whatever endeavor undertaken
- Proven people skills and relatability – emotional intelligence * Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Demonstrated application of a continuous process improvement mindset/orientation
- Ability to quickly navigate and apply to advantage modern operating systems’ and application suites
