What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Child Care Provider position at Hometown Childcare?
We are seeking dependable, enthusiastic, and motivated individuals who genuinely enjoy working with children, specifically ages 3 and up!
Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Be the Primary Caregiver
- Ensuring professionally development requirements are met, more specifically 16 hours of training per year.
- Assist children with activities of daily life (restroom use, diapering, hand washing, feeding, etc.)
- Maintain a professional self-image and project the values of the Hometown Childcare at all times.
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulate their development
- Appropriately supervise children while keeping them safe at all times
- Prepare and carry out lesson plans. Implement curriculum and plan daily activities that are developmentally appropriate for young children
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, organized, and safe for all children
- Engage children in activities and play that stimulate their development
- Approach parents daily and speak with them about their child(ren)- Establish a professional level of rapport with each family in order to provide quality care and friendly service
- Be responsible for completing the required daily paperwork and weekly tasks (when applicable)
- Supervise assistant teachers in the classroom and ensure they are following program policy and customer service expectations
- Train any assistant teacher in the classroom and direct them as to what duties need to be carried out throughout the day
- Attend and engage in occasional parent participation events and other events that may be on nights and/or weekends
- Physical ability should be sufficient to frequently bend, stoop, sit on the floor and lift up to 40 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Be willing to submit to various background checks.
- The openness to receive feedback on issues that will facilitate growth and achievement of both students and teachers
- Infant/Child/Adult CPR certified, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen Training
- Complete a Tuberculosis test
- A passion for teaching children and watching them learn and grow
- Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual and have minimal absences
- Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children alone in a classroom
- A Lead Teacher must be at least 19 years of age and have a high school degree or equivalent education. Meet Lead Caregiver requirements per State Licensing Standards. - CDA, 12 college credits in a child-related field with working hours of experience.

Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
