What it's like to be an Accounting Assistant at HomeTown Credit Union
As a Full-Time Accounting Assistant at HomeTown Credit Union, you can expect to engage in a variety of tasks each day that will lay the foundation for your accounting career. Your mornings will typically begin with reconciling and processing transactions, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and up to date. You will assist with accounts payable and wire transfers while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail within financial documents.
Throughout the day, you'll collaborate with colleagues and support the accounting team, responding to member inquiries with empathy and professionalism. You will also participate in monthly reconciliation processes and assist in preparing reports for management. This position follows a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while immersing yourself in a supportive environment that fosters growth and learning.
