About the Role
As a Dentist at HHC, you’ll play a vital role in improving the oral health of patients across our community. You will diagnose and treat dental conditions, perform a wide range of dental procedures, and provide education on oral hygiene and preventive care. You’ll work alongside a supportive, mission-driven dental team dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform dental procedures including extractions, restorations, impressions, x-rays and oral exams
- Diagnose and treat oral health issues such as cavities, gum disease and tooth decay
- Provide preventive care and educate patients on oral hygiene best practices
- Collaborate with dental assistants, hygienists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate patient records and stay current with advances in dental technology and best practices
Minimum Qualifications
- DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school
- Active dental license in the State of Maine
- Proven experience in general dentistry
- Strong communication and patient-relations skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with pediatric patients
- Expertise in dental implants or advanced dental procedures
- Specialization in a field such as periodontics
