Responsibilities:
- Provide lactation support and education to new mothers and families
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for breastfeeding mothers
- Assist with proper latch and positioning techniques
- Offer guidance on breast pumping and milk storage
- Provide counseling and emotional support to breastfeeding mothers
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate care for breastfeeding mothers and infants
- Conduct group education sessions on breastfeeding and infant nutrition
Experience:
-must be an IBCLC
- Strong knowledge of lactation principles, techniques, and best practices
- Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity
- Proficiency in public speaking and delivering educational presentations
- Multilingual skills, especially Spanish, are highly desired
- Familiarity with data collection and analysis related to breastfeeding outcomes
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to lactation
