Job Summary
We seek an experienced, skilled, and motivated remote freight broker to join our growing logistics team. In this role, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere while managing and coordinating freight solutions for clients. You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, negotiating competitive rates, and ensuring seamless logistics operations. Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and carriers to address concerns and provide updates
- Arrange and coordinate the movement of freight from origin to destination
- Source reliable carriers to meet client needs and ensure timely delivery
- Monitor shipments in transit and proactively address delays or issues
- Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to maximize profit margins
- Maintain profitability while providing cost-effective solutions for clients
- Work with and follow all Hometown compliance directives
Support:
- Hometown's corporate office will provide all customer billing and carrier pay support
- The Home Office Service One team can cover any and all freight. You bring the freight in, we can cover it or you can cover it.
- You will report to the Regional Director of Operations whose goal is to help you thrive and grow at Hometown. They will personally ensure you have all the support you need.

Requirements
- 3 years of freight brokering experience
- Knowledge of the local market
- Knowledge of west-coast freight market
- An established network of carriers and shippers is a plus
Pay
- $65,000 first 3 months or 30% commission on margin, whichever is higher
- After 90 days pay will be 30% of margins paid on the 14th and 28th
- All margin is based on invoiced loads
- Account launch bonuses available
