Homewerks Worldwide, LLC, a leading import distributor of home improvement products for major retailers is seeking an FP&A Analyst to join our Accounting Team. Homewerks Worldwide develops, sources, and markets bathroom, kitchen, and plumbing products for home and commercial use. Position Summary
The FP&A Analyst will report directly to the CFO and play a key role in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis. This position will transform complex data into valuable insights, effectively communicate findings, and support strategic decision-making. The analyst will collaborate across departments, including operations, sales, and accounting, to ensure data is accurately grounded and consolidated. Someone who excels at building and automating systems to streamline data organization and delivery for greater efficiency is a great fit.
Responsibilities
- Perform financial and scenario analysis (collaborating with cross-functional teams), as well as forecasting and budgeting, to inform strategic planning and business decisions
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries and dashboards (linking for example customer POS data to Homewerks sales performance) and systematize/automate preparation and delivery wherever possible
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations for executive leadership, providing insights and recommendations based on analysis
- Monitor financial performance and trends, identifying improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Support the development/implementation of financial controls and processes for accuracy and compliance
- Assist in the preparation of financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Readiness to contribute to various ad-hock projects
What We’re Looking for
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex/voluminous financial data
- Advanced financial modeling skills and Microsoft Excel user (power query or SQL to navigate, cleanse and roll-up large datasets) with a systems-oriented approach to problem solving and automation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with FP&A platforms and data visualization tools (Infor M3 ERP experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of best practices in financial modeling and FP&A
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial analysis or related role
- CPA or progress towards is preferred
- Problem solver with a high-degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, adept at handling a high-volume workload
- Personable, with strong communication skills and a readiness to learn and tackle new challenges
- Experience in a distribution company serving large retailers is a plus
- SQL experience and programming background is a plus
