Homewerks Worldwide, LLC, a leading import distributor of home improvement products for major retailers is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Sourcing Team. Homewerks Worldwide develops, sources, and markets bathroom, kitchen, and plumbing products for home and commercial use. Position Summary
The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all aspects of product quality, including product reviews, value engineering, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. This role will play a key part in maintaining the high standards of our products and services, especially as we expand our business with new clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct product reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform value engineering to enhance product performance and cost efficiency.
- Analyze root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Sourcing team to identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining product quality.
- Maintain and improve quality management systems.
- Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and Homewerks’ international vendor base to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and drive quality excellence.
- Evaluate vendor risk to ensure compliance with quality standards and mitigate potential risks.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in quality engineering.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quality engineering within the manufacturing industry.
- Ability to travel domestic & internationally as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Familiarity with relevant plumbing, electrical and HVAC industry standards and regulations a plus.
- DIY and/or Big Box Retail customer experience
Salary Range $70K-$105K
