Position Mission
As Energywise Director, you will lead the design and implementation of the Energywise program, the newest initiative at Homewise. Energywise is a customer-centric program that will guide homeowners in improving their home’s energy efficiency through technical assistance and access to affordable capital.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Energywise Director is responsible for the following duties:
- Program Design:
- Create a programmatic budget that outlines all costs and project revenues.
- Establish team roles and hire and train staff. Positions will include Energy Coaches, Lending Officers, and possibly others.
- Design Standard Operating Procedures for the team.
- Secure relevant capital from various Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund sources and ensure program design complies with all funding requirements.
- Work with partners, internal staff, and/or contractors to create relevant tech tools to support Energywise Roadmaps, tax credit, and rebate stacking.
- Coordinate with internal staff and/or consultants to design and create all necessary marketing tools, such as websites, FAQ sheets, outreach and marketing strategy, digital and print marketing materials, etc.
- Program Management:
- Manage staff and team meetings, set all annual program goals (aligned with funding source expectations), and ensure the team meets annual goals.
- Coordinate marketing strategies to ensure successful business development for the program.
- Coordinate and/or manage any external partners to meet program goals.
- Work with relevant staff to ensure that all reporting requirements are met on a timely basis.
- Work with relevant staff to ensure that all invoicing is being appropriately submitted on a timely basis.
- Manage the programmatic budget to ensure costs are controlled and revenue targets are met.
- Working with relevant team members to seek on-going capital sources for the program.
- Grow the financial self-sufficiency of the program over time.

Education and Experience
- Experience with new program design with a proven track record as a strong leader and manager who can build and train a team.
- Familiarity with fundamentals of residential home construction, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, roofing, framing, etc.
- At least three years of experience in energy efficiency or related fields.
- Project management and construction experience preferred.
- Lending experience preferred but not required. Ability to work with others to develop lending products will be necessary.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
Work Schedule
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements.
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- Must be able to occasionally lift objects up to 20 pounds.
