Homewise is looking for a Talent Acquisition & Retention Specialist to play a pivotal role in recruiting and retaining mission-aligned professionals.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in identifying, attracting, and recruiting top talent for various positions across Homewise. This individual will collaborate closely with hiring managers and Chief officers to ensure that Homewise hires the best candidates who are aligned with our mission, values, and organizational goals.

Key Duties & Rsponsibilites:
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the entire hiring process, including job postings, proactive sourcing, screening, interviews, and extending offers to top talent.
- Talent Sourcing & Outreach: Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates through innovative sourcing strategies, networking, partnerships with universities and community organizations, and participation in career fairs and industry events.
- Candidate Experience: Provide a professional, engaging, and transparent hiring experience, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and a seamless onboarding process.
- Hiring Manager Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to understand team needs, refine job descriptions, analyze market compensation trends, and provide strategic hiring recommendations.
- Onboarding & Retention: Oversee new hire onboarding, ensuring proper documentation, benefits enrollment, and early-stage check-ins to support employee success and retention.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure adherence to hiring laws, internal policies, and industry best practices while staying informed on evolving talent acquisition trends to enhance efficiency.

Education and Experience
- 2 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably in a nonprofit or mission-driven organization.
- Knowledge of recruiting platforms, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and sourcing techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Passion for Homewise’s mission and the ability to attract talent who align with our organizational values.
Work Schedule
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements.
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- Must be able to occasionally lift objects up to 20 pounds.
