As we endeavor to become a staple of the Village of Homewood, and a flagship brewery in the Chicagoland area, our brand-new 18,000 square foot brewpub will cater to families, neighbors and wanderers alike.

ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Assistant Brewer reports to the Head Brewer of Homewood Brewing Company, and is responsible for assisting with brewing, packaging, cleaning, and maintenance duties in the Brewery.
Key Responsibilities
● Wort production
● Cleaning and sanitization of brewing equipment
● Dry hopping, yeast harvesting, and beer transfers
● Cleaning and filling kegs
● Cleaning draft lines
● Performing routine maintenance on brewing equipment
● Participate in sensory analysis of products
● Participate in offsite events and festivals
● Assisting restaurant staff in understanding HBC crafted beers
Qualifications
● Must be passionate about craft beer.
● Must be 21 and be able to lift up to 55 lb to shoulder height, move up to 165 lbs, and work on your feet for an extended period of time.
● Basic knowledge of brewing and related processes.
● Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
● Ability to follow all safety and product quality standards.
● Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in the brewing area
● Computer literate in email, word processing, and spreadsheets.
● Willingness to learn and develop expertise in the brewery and take on new responsibilities.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
