Job Title: Laundry Attendant

Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: Executive Housekeeper

Summary:

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, drying, folding, and storing all hotel linens and guest laundry. This includes sorting laundry by type, color, and fabric; loading and unloading washers and dryers; and operating various laundry equipment. The Laundry Attendant must also maintain the cleanliness of the laundry area and keep records of all laundry processed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Wash, dry, fold, and store all hotel linens and guest laundry.
• Sort laundry by type, color, and fabric.
• Load and unload washers and dryers.
• Operate various laundry equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the laundry area.
• Keep records of all laundry processed.
• Identify and remove stains from laundry.
• Repair minor tears and holes in laundry.
• Respond to guest inquiries and complaints.
• Follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in a laundry or housekeeping setting prefered, but not necessary
• Knowledge of laundry equipment and procedures preffered
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
