Job Summary:
Homewood Suites is seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Breakfast Buffet Attendant to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the breakfast buffet, providing warm and welcoming hospitality to our guests, ensuring the cleanliness of the dining area, and assisting with light cooking duties. You’ll help set the tone for a positive guest experience each morning.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, stock, and maintain the breakfast buffet area according to brand standards
Greet guests with a friendly, approachable attitude and ensure all needs are met during breakfast service
Prepare simple breakfast items (e.g., eggs, waffles, oatmeal, pastries) and replenish items as needed
Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, kitchen, and buffet area throughout and after service
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines consistently
Monitor food quantities and communicate restocking needs to the kitchen or management
Break down the buffet and clean all equipment, surfaces, and dining areas at the end of service
Assist with inventory and ordering as needed
Work collaboratively with other hotel staff to ensure a seamless guest experience
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or a similar role preferred
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of basic food safety and handling practices
Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain a clean, professional appearance
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
Shift Information:
Morning shifts typically start around 5:30 AM and run until 12:00 PM (depending on hotel schedule)
Weekend and holiday availability is required
