Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Front Desk Agent to join our hospitality team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service throughout their stay. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for guest relations, contributing to a positive experience at our resort.
Responsibilities Include:
- Welcome and serve our guests in a friendly manner.
- Handle large volume of calls. Screen and transfer calls to the appropriate person while providing superior customer service to all guests. Follow “Signature” program etiquette.
- Process all reservations, cancellations, registrations, departures and other guest requests.
- Promote Rewards Club and follow Brand standards for Rewards Club guests.
- Respond to and help solve guest complaints/issues in a professional manner.
- Provide reliable information regarding the hotel features and local area.
- Process all cash, credit card and direct bill transactions. Balance the cash drawer accurately, discrepancies must be researched and corrected before the end of the shift.
- Work alongside Housekeeping & Maintanece staff maintaining guest room inventory and concerns meet guest needs.
- Maintain electronic key card issuance and security.
- Knowledgeable of all current emergency policies and procedures.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Proficient in phone etiquette and handling multi-line phone systems effectively.
- Experience in hotel or resort environments is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of front desk operations and guest services best practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse guests.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve and work alone.
- Ability to count cash efficiently.
