What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Front Desk Agent position at Homewood Suites Doylestown/Warrington?
Homewood Suites Doylestown located in Warrington, PA is seeking candidates for both Full Time and Part Time. The candidate will be expected to work in a team environment, but will be majority of the time on their own. During many shifts the candidate would be the manager on duty. Hilton PEP experience is preferred. Morning, Nights, Weekends, and Holiday availability is a MUST when scheduled as we are open 365 days a year and 24hrs a day. We are looking for someone who has flexibility and is responsive to the needs of the hotel.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
-Responsible for greeting each and every guest as they enter and exit the building
-Responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel
-Responsible for answering phones and transferring calls to the appropriate hotel department when necessary
-Responsible for booking/modifying reservations for guests
-Answer various questions from guest in a pleasant manner
-Respond effectively to guest complaints and provide excellent customer service to hotel guests
-Complete in full a daily front desk checklist
-Run various reports on the Front Desk System for management
-Deliver items to guest rooms
-Lift and organize packages for guests and also hotel inventory orders
-May be asked to perform duties in other areas of the hotel when short staffed
-Refill coffee canisters and bake cookies when required
-Responsible for maintaining cash drawer contents and making change for guests
-Responsible for completing all required training in a prompt manner as assigned by management
-Maintaining a clean and professional workspace
-Prepare bags for event groups
-Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
-Must have reliable transportation to/from the hotels
-Must be able to work weekends when required
-Must arrive on time for scheduled shift to relieve previous shift
-Must be able to understand and carry out instructions
-Must be able to lift 20 pounds
-Must be able to maintain a professional manner in stressful situations
-Must be able to communicate on the phone and in person and answer questions from guests in a prompt manner
-Must be able to use math skills to calculate appropriate change to guests
-Must be able to work a full shift with no break
-Must answer phone calls from management promptly when off property
-Must have experience in customer service and preferably hotel experience
-Must possess a positive and upbeat personality and maintain a courteous attitude with co-workers and guests
-Must wear hotel provided uniform and adhere to requirements on appropriate work attire
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
