Facilities Assistant
Part-Time (24hrs) $22 - 26 /hour
Homeworthy is looking for a Facilities Assistant who wants to join us in our mission to end the cycle of poverty and homelessness in Midcoast Maine!
Homeworthy offers comprehensive programs and services to adults, families, and youth in Midcoast Maine. We deliver wrap-around programming and support to our clients, including Comprehensive Case Management services, The Hospitality House Family Shelter, and The Landing Place Youth Program. The Facilities Assistant , under the supervision of the Facilities Coordinator, is a hands-on professional, helping to keep Homeworthy office space and facilities safe and clean for our clients and employees. The Facilities Assistant will perform duties assigned to them including cleaning tasks, small repairs, purchasing of equipment and supplies at local suppliers in the community and other duties as assigned. This is an in person position with a flexible schedule that will be determined by the Facilities Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and follow-through skills, be able to communicate effectively, professionally, and respectfully with diverse audiences, and possess a keen attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work. The Coordinator will be self-motivated, and able to work independently, as well as part of a team. They will be expected to be able to lift up to 75 pounds, have access to a personal vehicle, should possess a valid driver’s license, and have a safe driving record of at least two years. This is a part time, 24 hours a week position which will be determined with the Facilities Coordinator.
Background and license checks will be required prior to hire.
This position will pay $22 - $26 an hour based on experience.
