Job Purpose
Support activity with maintenance, repair, operations, North American IndirectProcurement, Spare Part Data Management, and Process Engineering Business Unitpurchasing to procure critical proprietary spare parts for all of the NorthAmerican Plants. Help determine sourcing for spare parts; in-house, frommanagement, or by approved suppliers. Provide quote, when necessary, ship,bill, and support accounting as required for cost allocation. Arrange forassembly and quality check of spare parts as new suppliers are validated.Perform technical analysis of critical spare parts to determine if the ProcessEngineering Business Unit can shift procurement to maintenance, repair,operations via approved companies or suppliers when able. Help providetechnical support, plant technical training, and perform repair andperformance validation for specialized D-Products.## _
Key Accountabilities
Support the creation and monitoring of the North American region Process Engineering Business Unit supplied spare parts to ensure all factors are considered including : tracking of delivery, process time, specialty purchase parts orders.
Work with Senior Engineer(s) within the group to provide D-Product technical support to ensure minor model change delivery stability on D-product issues (Servo Guns, Paint bells,LET’s & ETC) including but not limited to emergency support, creation of assembly and troubleshooting manuals, training suppliers and associates on correct assembly and tracking methods.
Support the creation and tracking of the North American region D-product rebuilds along with ensuring the process required to achieve quality is maintained on in-house and supplier-built D-product assembly’s
Assist in the validation of replenishment stock orders for maintenance, repair, operation., Working with North American Indirect Procurement and Senior Engineer(s) within the group to set the localization plan or direct supplier setting of Process Engineering Business Unit proprietary items. Assist in the optimization of direct order details and reduction of Process Engineering Business Unit order quantity to create ideal Q.C.D characteristics.
Help ensure NA Region spare parts inventory for D-product is properly planned to ensure regional Q,C,D characteristics are achieved, support discussions with management & TW for orders to Japan – Including but not limited to the creation of request for quotes, requisitions and communication between the Process Engineering Business Unit and management. ## _
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) or equivalent job experience.
0-2 years of technicalengineering work experience in Manufacturing (focus in specialized area a plus).
Application of engineering and manufacturing principles.
Technical experience with Honda Development & Manufacturing D-products – weld guns, paint bells, machining gang-heads
Willingness to go to the spot (plant floor, supplier) and perform hands-on analysis and work as required.
Proficient with Microsoft Office & SAP.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate effectively both with customers and internal project teams.
Business acumen in a technical environment.## _
Working Conditions
Flexible Work Hours & Schedule if needed. Work on the floor, in office, and attendreport at meetings.
Ability to Travel, both domestic and international (<10%) travel to manufacturing and vendors sites.
5-15 hours of OT per week.
Weekend, holiday, and emergency support work may be required.
