This job description reflects potential openings for the Fall 2025 Co-op/Internship Session (late August - December). Honda offers both single and multi-semester co-ops and internships. College students must apply to the requisition pertaining to their major and semester of interest.
Honda Co-operative and Learning Internships
At Honda, we pride ourselves in providing invaluable experience to our Co-ops and Interns. As a Honda Co-op/Intern, you will work on hands-on, project-based tasks relevant to your department of placement's current needs. Projects may include developing new tests, designing systems, traveling to suppliers, or serving as a project manager.
In addition to full-time associate work, Honda Co-ops/Interns are invited to participate in various paid work events and experiences offered by the Honda Co-op and Internship program team. These events may include Q&A sessions with high-level associates, tours of Honda facilities, social events, volunteer opportunities, and more.

About the Industrial Engineering Co-op/Intern at Honda
The following descriptions reflect potential environments and duties within our various Industrial Engineering Co-op/Intern positions:
Manufacturing
- Focus on equipment, process, quality, and new model activities related to the department of placement.
- Project management
- Production support
- Quality
- New model development, drawing, studying, layouts, and design change requests.
Facilities
- Updating and documenting CAD drawings of existing infrastructure.
- Analyzing and designing existing sanitation, HVAC, and building pressure systems.
- Developing short and long-term solutions to problems found.
- Designing modifications of existing facilities structures.
- Designing manufacturing equipment and tooling in 2D and 3D CAD systems.
- Determining equipment electrical hardware, software (PLC, HMI, etc), and safety requirements, and appropriate design.
