Honda Performance Development, Inc., a leader in motorsports racing, is seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented Financial Analyst to join its Racing Program in Santa Clarita, California (North Los Angeles County).
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of cost accounting and reporting activities
- Develop / maintain cost accounting framework.
- Establish annual labor and overhead rates.
- Review, investigate and explain production variances on a routine basis.
- Provide support for annual physical inventories and cycle counts, and inventory analysis.
- Ability to perform ad-hoc financial analysis as needed to support business.
- Drive work process improvements
- Coordination of financial presentations
- Other projects as assigned by Controller and/or CEO.
- Answers financial and accounting questions by researching, analyzing, and interpreting data.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to details, analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work as a team member and independently, self-driven, adaptable, and patient.
- Ability to meet deadlines (i.e., month-end closing and business plans).
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Experience with visualization and analytical tools (Power BI).
- Work with ethics and integrity.
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and practices, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; ability to correspond in a professional, businesslike manner and speak effectively before groups of customers and colleagues.
- Capacity to prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines, work on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Work Experience/Educational Requirement:
- BA Degree in Accounting
- 5 Years of Accounting Experience, with 2 Years of manufacturing industry experience
- Experience with ERP systems
- Cost Accounting experience
