What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shop Foreman/Dispatcher position at Honda Subaru of Santa Fe?
- Monitor and manage shop work load according to technician available hours.
- Assign work to the correct technician according to training level
- Ensure that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures
- Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Keep all doorways and walkways clear of obstructions and debris
- Ensure technicians follow proper MPI expectations and work order completion with labor time and warranty guidelines
- Review hard copy work orders, MPI’s and recommended quotes turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
- Ensure each RO has been checked for any open recalls and maintenance due.
- Complete a dispatch log daily and ensure proper rotation according schedule is followed for services and appropriate recalls.
- Maintain a record of carryover vehicles
- Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department and Advisor
- Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
- Maintain proper inventory of special tools in addition to keeping tool room organized and tools put back in their proper place
- Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
- Ensure that all repair orders are accounted for and closed when work is completed
- Perform test drives to confirm customer concerns, diagnose and confirm repair procedure has resolved customer issue with Technician for fixed right first time.
· Keep Advisors informed and up to date on work orders, needed repairs and progress of RO’s daily
· Communicate with Parts Dept on incoming parts needed to complete repairs and be aware of delays and back order parts.
· Communicate any updates with Advisors
· Ensure MPI is being completed first to give Advisor enough time to communicate with customers.
· Be aware of Service Bulletins, Recalls and repair procedures posted on Subarunet.
· Know status of each repair in process and prioritize accordingly
· Back-up and Assist Service Advisors and Management on the Service Drive
· Answer phones and assist in scheduling appointments and customer service.
Monitor schedule load and advise if adjustments are needed to allow for carryovers

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
