The Borough of Honesdale is seeking to expand its police department and is currently recruiting motivated and qualified candidates for Police Officer positions.

Honesdale, with a population of nearly 5000, is nestled in beautiful northeastern Pennsylvania, and is the county seat of Wayne County and home to the first steam railway in the country, as well as the inspiration for the song “Winter Wonderland”, whose author was a native of the town.

This picturesque community in the Pocono Mountains region near Lake Wallenpaupack, is in proximity to the Lackawaxen and Delaware rivers, and is close to Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and the Wyoming Valley, and within driving distance of the Lehigh Valley, Philadelphia and New York City.
