Honey Creek Heights Senior Living is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Activity Director to lead and manage our vibrant activities program for seniors. The Activity Director will plan, implement, and oversee a diverse calendar of activities in accordance with community guidelines, ensuring that each resident's individuality, participation, and leadership are encouraged. This role also includes creating partnerships with the local community to offer residents opportunities for volunteer work, lifelong learning, and intergenerational activities.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities :
- Adhere to CAPLICO Core Values and Code of Conduct at all times.
- Ensure compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies.
- Foster a sense of independence, fulfillment, and accomplishment for residents through engaging activities.
- Plan and maintain a balanced daily and monthly calendar of events based on resident preferences, continually seeking feedback on likes / dislikes and suggestions for new programs.
- Build and maintain strong community partnerships to offer a broad variety of programming options, collaborating with local organizations and businesses.
- Create volunteer opportunities for residents within the community.
- Lead and facilitate programs in a timely manner, ensuring resident participation and engagement.
- Empower residents to take leadership roles in organizing and leading activities, fostering a sense of pride and ownership.
- Promote and encourage active participation in all activities and events, identifying personalized motivation for each resident.
- Oversee ordering and management of activity supplies.
- Monitor financial records related to activities and complete necessary administrative tasks such as financial statements and documentation for volunteers.
- Transport residents to local activities and events in the community as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
