We are hiring a year-round Food Services Manager/Head Chef! If you have a passion for mentoring, leading a food service team, and crafting high-quality meals in a dynamic, mission-driven environment, we encourage you to apply!
Responsibilities:
- Provide overall leadership to food service operations, including indoor, outdoor, and trip kitchen offerings.
- Mentor, coach, and develop professional and seasonal kitchen staff (up to 20 seasonal employees).
- Plan and execute high-quality, nutritious meals for all HoneyRock programs while accommodating special dietary needs.
- Manage food service budgets, inventory, ordering, and equipment needs in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high sanitation standards.
- Oversee hiring, training, and supervision of kitchen staff, fostering a culture of vocational discipleship and professional development.
- Create and implement standard operating procedures to ensure efficiency and excellence in food service.
- Plan and provide outdoor food service for wilderness trips and on-site cookouts.
- Participate in HoneyRock’s leadership progression, mentoring interns and staff as part of their development.
- Support cross-departmental planning and strategic initiatives as a key member of the HoneyRock professional staff.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent culinary degree.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in food service/hospitality.
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently while supervising a team.
- ServSafe Manager Certification (preferred or required within 90 days).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed to support programming.
Physical Requirements:
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Exposure to varying temperature conditions.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
