Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Building Automation Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team in Augusta, ME.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring the optimal performance of our building automation systems, contributing to the seamless operation of smart buildings, and championing Honeywell's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation: Install and commission Honeywell fire alarm systems according to specifications and industry standards.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine preventive maintenance on fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations. Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting electronic components and replacing faulty parts.
- Testing and Inspection: Perform regular testing and inspections of fire alarm systems to verify their proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
- Customer Support: Provide technical support to customers by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and offering guidance on system usage.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Complete service reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and customer support teams to deliver comprehensive solutions and support to clients.
Requirements:
- Experience: 2 years' experience working within a construction or field service environment.
- Skillset: Former knowledge of completing preventative maintenance on automated systems. Ability to troubleshoot, conduct repairs, and work independently.
- Credentials: Valid Driver's License and driving record acceptable to Honeywell. Technical degree or certification in relevant field (Automation, Electronics, HVAC, Electricity, etc).
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to provide customer satisfaction.
