As a Machinist - Level 4 at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in our machining processes to ensure the production of high-quality parts. You will operate and set up various machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our manufacturing operations and the overall growth of our business.
You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and work out of our Geismar, LA location.
In this role, you will impact the efficiency, productivity, and quality of our machining processes by operating and setting up machines, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and conducting quality inspections.
- Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
The position requires strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques, proficiency in operating and setting up machines, and ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Machinist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in operating and setting up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques
