What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr HSE Engineer - Environmental position at honeywell?
As the Senior HSE Engineer (Environmental Engineer) you will play a key leadership role within the Industrial Automation (IA) organization. You will be the key HSE resource at the facility to support site engineering and operations teams directing sustainable environmental programs through incorporation of impactful operating processes and keeping in front of leading practices in health and safety standards.
You will report to the Site Sr HSE Manager and work out of Clover, SC in person.
Key Responsibilities
- Implements company HSE standards with a focus on Environmental Management Systems
- Provides technical assistance for field manufacturing operations
- Job Site compliance reviews for permit compliance and standard verifications
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal and Corporate Health Safety, Environmental and Security guidelines, including air, hazardous and solid waste, wastewater, and stormwater, SPCC, EPCRA, CERCLA, and management systems.
- Prepares and submits required Regulatory Agency reports i.e. Toxic Release Inventory, Annual Emissions Report, etc.
- Prepare routine multi-media reports for submission to agencies, trade associations, and company, such as: Discharge Monitoring Reports; Toxic Release Inventories; Tier II reports, Solid waste reports, Title V Compliance Certification & Deviation reports, NESHAP reports, Greenhouse Gas reports, Hazardous Waste reports and Energy and sustainability metric reports.
- Waste characterization, hazardous waste satellite and main accumulations inspections, waste profile management, developing and tracking shipping papers
- Manage and champion locally various workflows, Environmental data, Environmental reporting.
- Effective coach and role model for production leaders; leads environmental training
- Deploys environmental initiatives
- Best Practice sharing among location groups and other similar manufacturing locations
- Drives standard work for environmental processes
- Risk Management processes for environmental exposures
Honeywell recently announced plans to sell its Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) business to Protective Industrial Products, Inc. (“PIP®”), a portfolio company of Odyssey Investment Partners. At this time, we anticipate that the deal will close in the first half of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.
