Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates facilities for the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA), in Albuquerque, NM as well as the Kansas City National Security Campus.  Honeywell FM&T - New Mexico Operations provide state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing, transportation technologies, emergency response and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Summary of Duties:

  • Builds prototypes for testing and experimentation and makes samples for further analysis.
  • Works in accordance with general objectives, improving and refining devices and methods, as necessary conducts fabrication of cables; tests cables, equipment setup, equipment operations, and monitoring and measuring; gathers data; builds prototypes/units and test equipment
  • Soldering of electronic components and wire using a microscope
  • Inspect, including self-inspect, and perform tests of various product components
  • Use of hand and power tools to assist in the fabrication of cables and electronic assemblies
  • Works in accordance with general objectives, improving and refining devices and methods, as necessary
  • Use of Six Sigma and Lean practices to improve daily work
  • Participation in team related activities
  • May perform other duties as required
  • Formal training or practical experience equivalent to technical knowledge obtained in military training courses, on the job training, or through a two-year technical degree
  • 2 years of experience required
  • Must have or be able to obtain a DOE Q clearance
