In the mobility division of Honeywell’s Safety and Productivity Solution, you will have the opportunity to use your advanced knowledge of the hardware engineering discipline to design some of our most electrically innovative products. Using the same technology that’s in your smart phone, Honeywell’s Android based mobility devices incorporate high speed multiple core processors, leading edge LPDDR and Flash memory, advanced radios (cellular 3G/4G/5G, Wi-Fi 6E, BTLE, NFC, RFID), and Li-ion battery technology, all in an ultra-rugged compact design.
You will be part of a group of highly committed EE and RF professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers through the specification, design, execution, and certification of mobility products
- Work closely with outside partners, managing the design process and ensuring quality output
- Direct and troubleshoot difficult design issues and bugs
- Willingly learn new technologies and areas of design
- Properly assess design risk and seek to mitigate
- Partner with marketing to determine customer needs and requirements
- Present to leadership and external customers
- Establish and follow methodologies for new or existing concepts
- Identify opportunities and propose technical improvements by applying advanced electrical engineering knowledge and principles
- Suggest enhancements to advance projects
