You are an innovator, and you build for scale. You own, scope, and deliver on all capital and productivity programs across all factories within the Business Group. You lead factory design, capacity planning, and capacity expansion within the ISC Manufacturing Strategy Framework to achieve World Class status within each Business Enterprise. You lead dedicated engineering teams that span across multiple Business Enterprises within Safety and Productivity Solutions (SPS). You own factory performance in terms of value stream design (VSM), line design (inclusive of workplace safety), automation implementation, line standards, equipment standards, operational equipment effectiveness (OEE), process capability, and target cost per unit. You partner with site and multi-site leaders to execute to standards, identify gaps, and root cause problem solve to achieve performance targets. You own the capital program funnel to capture productivity improvement opportunities, refine problem statements, develop business cases, scope implementation plans, and prioritize/re-prioritize with the Business Enterprises on a recurring basis.
Your team owns process technologies (i.e. formulation, testing protocols, etc.), standard work, and road mapping to improve safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost. You partner with Lean and Six Sigma experts to support organic productivity improvements through Lean deployment and structured problem solving, as well as partner with Automation Development teams to scope and deploy scalable systems to capture productivity savings. You own equipment commissioning (FAT/SAT), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within existing factories. You partner with NPI Engineering teams to assure new products and processes are designed for manufacturing excellence and automation (DFM/DFA) effectiveness. You are measured by safety incident rates, capital management to plan, total productivity savings achieved within the business group, and achievement of factory performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with ISC Transformation teams to define/refine manufacturing strategy, and support strategic initiatives.
- Develop and implement World Class factory and manufacturing line designs to achieve strategic goals.
- Lead and own capital expense planning, prioritization, and execution to achieve strategic outcomes and defined productivity savings.
- Define standard work and process standards for all lines and factories across SPS. Partner with Operations teams to achieve standards. This includes safety standards, labor standards (takt, cycle times), Lean flow (end-to-end cadence), process capability (Cpk), equipment productivity, yield, uptime (OEE), change overs, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
- Manage bill of material (BOM), ERP routing definition, and standard cost.
- Lead factory safety assessment and improvements in partnership with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Engineering, including compliance to machine guarding international standards.
- Drive process technology improvement and road mapping. Leverage existing technologies and systems, innovate within Honeywell, and collaborate within ISC Engineering to deploy scalable automation solutions.
- Lead factory engineering teams to ensure plants continue to operate within defined MTBF, MTTR, maintenance, and calibration standards and schedules.
- Define scalable engineering service and support model and service level agreements (SLA) across SPS.
